God With Us

The name Immanuel means “God with us.” Of all the names that are given Jesus in Scripture, this one is probably the most comforting. We don’t have a distant divine being who demands our worship. We have an up close and personal God who lived and breathed among us as Jesus, and who continues to be with us today. In fact, Jesus’s last earthly words were “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20). So take comfort this Christmas season by reading these ten reflections, and remember that you are never alone.
